South West CPDM, SDF Fine-Tune Strategies

The two parties are working round the clock to woo the 855 councillors.

The two contesting political parties vying to carry the day come the April 14, 2013 election of Senators, are in an upbeat mood to make hay and leave no stone unturned.

Taking the bull by the horns on Tuesday  April 2, 2013, Mr. Motanga Andrew Monjimba, CPDM Fako I Section President chaired  an enlarged gathering of all the Councillors of Fako I, II and III at the Council Hall in Down Beach  Limbe . He briefed them that the CPDM is  a well-structured party and they must abide with what the party hierarchy has decided. “We must give the CPDM list a 100% victory and any contrary result will be tantamount to high treason,” Montanga Andrew Monjimba cautioned. He informed them that a delegation from the Central Committee will soon be visiting to brief them on what the party hierarchy has decided.

The Social Democratic Front, SDF  is also fine-tuning strategies to grab the confidence of the electoral college. George Likiye Ngeke, the South West SDF Chairman was in Kumba on Tuesday, April 2 for a meeting aimed at overturning the tables of the CPDM. As  the campaigning gains momentum, it should be recalled that the ruling Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement (CPDM) controls 29 of the 31 councils in the South West while the leading opposition Party, the SDF, runs only the Kumba II Council in Meme Division and Toko Council in Ndian Division.
