No Problem In Bamenda!

No Problem In Bamenda! The electoral exercise was hitch free in the Bamendankwe polling centre.

Voting was virtually over by 1 pm in Mezam where 221 of the 222 electors   already voted in four polling stations at the GBHS Bamendankwe Centre. The Mezam Divisional Delegate of ELECAM, Tala Michael Ndikum was around to ensure superintendence when voting started at 8 am and by 8:05 am , ELECAM Board Chairman, Dr Fonkam Azu’u Samuel and North West Governor, Adolphe Lele L’afrique went sizing up the conduct of the exercise which also featured the payment of FCFA 50.000 to each elector in transport dues.

From the look of things, speed brakes were negligible.  CPDM and SDF list leaders, Rt. Hon Simon Achidi Achu and Ni John Fru Ndi featured at the polling stations to check out any wrong doing. On the conduct of the elections, the SDF Councilor from Bamenda III, Nkwen, Lucas Ngu Afong acknowledged that “Serenity reigned, electors from both the SDF and CPDM camps interacted cordially and there was no stress.”

CPDM Councillor from Bali Council, Fongod Edwin Nuvaga also saluted the “very orderly manner and calm” atmosphere that reigned. Elsewhere, the ELECAM Regional Communications Officer, Colday Ndofekeh Olivier who cris-crossed some polling Centres and stations in Mbengwi, Fundong and Ndop told CT that by 11 am, voting was over in the Fundong Polling Station A and that calm and serenity reigned across the region. It was life as usual down town Bamenda while the elections went hitch free in the neighbourhood of GBHS Bamendakwe.
