New executive members of the NOSCO were commissioned on wednesday, May 29.

Newly elected executive members of the National Olympic and Sports Committee (NOSCO) were commissioned yesterday May 29, 2013 in Yaounde. The event took place during the organisation’s general assembly meeting.

Speaking at the occasion, the President of the National Olympic and Sports Committee, Colonel Kalkaba Malboum, congratulated the members for their election. He urged them to work as a team in order to face the future with much commitment and produce the best results. He reminded the new team of values such as visibility, unity, solidarity, excellence, integrity, leadership and governance as the cardinal points adopted for meeting set objectives.

Kalkaba Malboum said the priorities for the 2013-2016 Olympiad are to prepare for the organisation of the National Games (DIXIADES) in Yaounde 2014, the launch of preparations for the Olympic Games in 2016, and studies which have to begin immediately for the creation of the National Centre for the Preparation of Olympic Games in Obala in the Centre Region, among others.

Board members also examined last minutes and adopted the plan of action for 2013-2016.
