Investigators say she has been using the method to withdraw money from people’s accounts.

Police of the Rapid Intervention Unit in Douala have arrested a lady impostor who tried to retrieve some money from the bank account of the wife of a sitting Minister in Yaounde.

The fraudster was caught at 3pm last Thursday at the branch of the SCB Bank at Carrefour Coaf in Deido. Dzukouo P. had arrived the bank and presented documents purporting that she was the wife of the Minister of Defence. As she tried to withdraw money from the bank account of the wife of the Minister of Defence, the Branch Manager of the bank suspecting that the documents were fake, alerted the Littoral Regional Delegate for National Security. Raymond Essogo immediately instructed the elements of the Rapid Intervention Unit on routine patrol in the area to arrest the fraudster.

She was arrested and taken into custody after declarations that she was acting with a certain Donald who is on the run. She was later taken to the Judicial Police in Bonanjo for further investigations. Meanwhile, the authorities of the bank furnished the police with all the fake documents Dzukouo P. was using to swindle money from the bank accounts of her many clients.
