Union Sportive Launches Membership Card

Football in the country has changed from mere entertainment and passion to a dynamic, money-making and job-creating activity. In line with the professionalisation of football clubs in Cameroon, Union Sportive of Douala has launched its membership card.

While presenting the card, dubbed Nassara Card, to the press in Douala at the Bano Palace Hotel Board President Franck Happi said there is need to know who their supporters and fans are. Reporters were told that the card which will go operational on June 16, 2013, comes in the wake of professionalising football clubs in the country. The purpose of the innovation, he continued, is also to facilitate mobilisation of supporters.

Securing a Nassara Card guarantees a lifetime membership of the Club, additionally qualifying a member the right to vote decisions during the Club’s general assemblies. About subscription, adults will submit FCFA 10,000 and juniors (people of at most 18 years of age) FCFA 5,000 including a photocopy of their National Identity Card, two passport-sized photographs as well as fill a form obtainable from the Club. Subscription will later be extended to all Support Committees across the country.

A receipt is delivered after the complete file is received while the Nassara Card is delivered within 72 hours of subscription.Union Sportive Football Club membership card remains may not be sold, exploited for commercial use, or used for promotional purposes or campaigns without the express written permission of the Club. Entry to games is not guaranteed except where a reserved seat has also been purchased.http://cameroon-tribune.cm
