Nigeria's Enugu Rangers have been disqualified from this year’s Confederation of African Football, CAF Confederation Cup for fielding an ineligible player, BBC reported on July 2, 2013. CAF ruled that Daniel Emmanuel was not registered to play in the Group A playoff match against CS Sfaxien of Tunisia on June 2, 2013 that ended 0-0 and sent Rangers through 1-0 on aggregate after their first-leg win. CAF has now overturned the result and reinstated the Tunisians at the expense of Rangers. CS Safxien, winners of the Confederation Cup in 2007 and 2008, have been placed in Group A where they will meet fellow Tunisians, Etoile du Sahel, Ethiopia's Saint Georges and Stade Malien of Mali.
