Kupe-Muanenguba CPDM To Flush Out Opposition

Campaigns for September 30 twin polls were launched in Bangem.

The Cameroon Peoples Democratic Movement’s (CPDM) Divisional campaign team leader, Minister Ngole Philip Ngwese, has said that the opposition must be wiped out of Kupe Muanenguba Division.

He made the statement in Bangem during the official launching of the CPDM campaign. He called on party supporters and sympathizers to put aside their differences and put their opponents to shame. He reminded party loyalists not to allow the opposition to take over their council. Philip Ngwese said any meaningful development comes from the CPDM government. Supporters raised over FCFA 25 million to support campaign exercise in the division.

He disclosed that the government of Cameroon in its 2013 Public Investment Budget has set aside over FCFA 2.5 billion for road maintenance in the division. Some of the roads include the Tombel-Bangem-Melong road and Tombel to Loum road.  Other roads are also earmarked for tarring in the division, he said. Phillip Ngwese reiterated that voting a landslide of 100 per cent is what will give Kupe-Muanenguba people the voice to ask for their own share of the “national cake”. Candidates for both elections were introduced alongside the sub-divisional team leaders of Tombel, Bangem and Nguti.

The campaign strategies were laid out as door-to-door and one-to-one, and not rallies as of the past. The campaign witnessed the presence of Senator Agnes Ntube Njock, the Director of Communication SONARA, Ngome Blasuis, Nkong Makoge Communication Attaché to Britain, amongst others. The People’s Action Party, PAP is the only CPDM challenger in the Division.
