SDF Bamendjou Says Victory Is Non-negotiable

Campaigns for the party were launched on September 17, 2013.

The  Social Democratic Front  party (SDF) in the Upper Plateau Division, says victory  in the Bamendjou Council on September 30, 2013 is not negotiable, considering that the CPDM that managed the council for the past 12 years failed leaving the council in an economic climate haunted by crisis.

The SDF campaign leader for Bamendjou, Senator Metiedje Nguifo Delphine Tchetagne was speaking in Bamendjou on September 17, 2013 as the SDF launched campaign for upcoming legislative and council elections. Addressing SDF supporters after a support march around the town of Bamendjou, Senator  Metiedje said that for 12 years that the CPDM  was at the helm of the council, nothing  was done to develop the area, regretting that while other councils  in the country were enjoying the benefits of decentralization, Bamendjou was facing wide-ranging challenges, like poverty, socio-economic  neglect by the CPDM management team.

She described the outgoing mayor as “Absentee mayor», adding that the CPDM mayor failed in his task, which is why his name was dropped from CPDM municipal council list. She promised that when elected SDF will be capable of achieving growth, invest in infrastructure and other social services .The SDF also promised accountability, as a desire to be able to strengthen development and follow up other commitments that will encourage the population in participative development.
