CPDM Supporters Warned Against Complacency

The divisional campaign team was in Kobdombo, Nyakokombo Subdivision of Nyong and Mfoumou Division in Centre Region on Wednesday, September 18, 2013. Though the Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement, CPDM, party is standing unopposed in the two parliamentary constituencies and five council areas of Nyong and Mfoumou Division in the Centre Region, supporters have been warned against complacency.

Speaking in Kobdombo in Nyakokombo Subdivision of Nyong and Mfoumou Division on Wednesday, September 18, 2013, CPDM Divisional Campaign leader, Prof. Robert Nkili urged local party leaders to focus on door-to-door contact with the people instead of spending endless time in meetings. Echoing him, Senator Pius Ondoua said election victory cannot be achieved in advance. He proceeded to unveil a detailed ‘proximity’ electioneering strategy.

According to Hon. Nkodo Dang Roger, Pan-African Parliament’s Deputy Speaker, there is need for voters to ensure that come Election Day, they put the right vote into the right box, given that both the parliamentary and local council polls will hold on the same day. He said there were no campaigns as such in the area, and that the aim of their visit was to ensure that voting instructions were understood. Hon. Nkodo Dang Roger is running for Parliament alongside newcomer, Mbala Ngobo epouse Mfoula.

Nkodo Dang Roger explained that he was seeking another parliamentary term to continue pushing forward the cases of his constituency and the whole nation before government as well as pursuing what he described as the ‘delicate’ work of the Pan-African Parliament. At the end of the rally, parliamentary and councillorship candidates were presented to the public by Prof. Nkili.
