He organises and introduces speakers and entertainers at CDPM rallies in Nyong and Mfoumou Division in the Centre Region.

As the Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement, CPDM party aims for victory in the September 30, 2013 parliamentary and local council polls in Nyong and Mfoumou Division of the Centre Region where all its candidates are standing unopposed, the role of one man has been determinant in the success recorded so far.

Siméon Ava, 46, a senior journalist and communication professional, has been serving as campaign animator. “My task consists in organising rallies, appealing to crowds by keeping them interested and attentive, and breaking down the party’s manifesto for the understanding of the common man and for eventual victory in elections,” explains the compere. He has for many years handled communication in a government ministry and is now in charge of the same domain with a hydro-electricity project in the South Region.  

In the quest for efficiency, Ava has published a 12-page campaign newspaper, ‘Le Nyong et Mfoumou en Campagne’ that presents among others, rally dates and venues, and the profiles of candidates and major election stakeholders. Siméon Ava says his job is facilitated by the fact that he is a CPDM member who carries out his tasks with devotion: “Being a party member means working like a soldier and an extremist! My presence in the CPDM is simply out of conviction, action and the great love I have for Party Chairman, President Paul Biya, who is no less linked to Nyong and Mfoumou Division by blood,” he explains.

Siméon Ava’s ultimate goal is to see Nyong and Mfoumou take its usual second position in the whole country in terms of support for the CPDM after Dja and Lobo Division in the South Region. He however hopes that someday, Nyong and Mfoumou Division will take the lead in supporting the Head of State’s party.
