Cameroon To Share Turkish Anti-Corruption Crusade Experience

The Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Supreme State Audit Office has been invited to Turkey.

Relations between Cameroon and Turkey have been described as commendable and the high point of it first started in March 2010 with the visit of Turkish President, Abdullah Gul. The high point was the visit of the Head of State of Cameroon to Turkey in March 2013 after which partnership accords between both countries were sealed.

It will soon be the turn of the Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Supreme State Audit Office, Henri Eyebe Ayissi who was Friday September 20, 2013 served an invitation letter by the Turkish Ambassador to Cameroon, Omer Faruk Dogan to share with Turkish Minister in charge of State Audit on the putting in place of measures to counter corruption in public administration and the mismanagement of State funds.

The Turkish diplomat told the press after the audience granted him by Eyebe Ayissi that Turkey has since 2005 enjoyed the putting in place of a new programme that scarce corrupt act, encourages accountability and efficiency in the management of State resources.  Omer Faruk said, “We are really eager to share this with the Cameroon government (administration) so as to better its fight against the misuse of State resources which only go a long way to mar development.”
