The cyclist from La Pasta velo club led the race from the beginning to the end.

The third edition of the cycling race dubbed ‘Transregionale Cameroun’ ended on Friday, November 8, 2013 with Tella Arthur from La Pasta velo club of Douala emerging champion. He was closely followed by Ngue Martin of Nigeria and Yemeli Herman of Mont Neyang velo club of Fomopea in the second and third positions respectively.

The trophy for the best climber went to Yemeli Herman while that of the best youth went to Nganou Daniel of Chad. The race covered a total distance of ... km, passing through eight of the ten Regions of Cameroon. It brought together 40 cyclists from Nigeria, Chad, the Central African Republic and Cameroon.

According to the president of the practitioners of cycling, Flavien Guetsa Kamanou, the race was organised to fill the vacuum of cycling competitions in Cameroon and to determine the best cyclist as well as cycling team of the central African region. He expressed satisfaction on the infoldment of the race saying they are already preparing for the fourth edition. He however admitted there were some minute hitches during the race such as late departures and arrivals, mechanical breakdowns and late of adequate equipment for some cycling teams.

Commenting on relations with the Cameroon cycling federation, Flavien Guetsa who is also president of the FENAP velo club said the federation of practitioners of cycling was created out of discontent with the way things were being managed at the cycling federation. He however said their actions were complementary to the policy of the Cameroon cycling federation.
