The annual Christmas market is slated from December 14 to January 5, 2013 at the Douala Camtel Complex.

The city of Douala is already engaged in preparatory activities towards celebrating Christmas this year, which will culminate in a grandiose ceremony on December 25. Wednesday November 4 was marked by a caravan through major streets and crossroads in the economic capital, announcing the upcoming Christmas market, popularly known as “Marché de Noël.”

 Organised by Decoralia in collaboration with the Douala City Council, the business fair will hold from December 14, 2013 to January 5, 2014 at the Bepanda Camtel Complex. The main target population is families expected to celebrate the festive periods with the best available products in the market. This year marks the annual economic activity’s fifth edition.

Flora Fokong, the General Supervisor of Marché told CT that innovations will include free gifts to visitors and buyers, games and raffle draws to win motorbikes, a vehicle and other household items. She equally explained that potential buyers will gain from the promotional sales prices the enterprises will offer, discover new products as well as enjoy the wide variety of goods made available on the same spot. Access fare is FCFA 300 francs per person.
