The money is expected is to be injected into the council areas development projects.

An ordinary meeting of the Yaounde II council in Mfoundi, Centre region last December 13, 2013 voted over FCFA 1.4 billion as budget for 2014 with an increase of FCFA 21 million. The budget, Mayor Luc Assamba stressed, was to pursue development projects, primary among was the opening up of roads in neighbourhoods of the council area.

The session also harped on the examination and adoption of the 2012 accounts. It was revealed that the council’s 2012 budget that stood at FCFA 1.4 billion was executed without hitches.      

The representative of the Mfoundi Senior Divisional Officer, Mrs Noh Noha epse Abena Osseque Elise Mireille, chair of the day, was impressed at the development challenges overcome by the council executive and called for redouble efforts as the council embarks on another development crusade to improve the livelihood of residents of the Yaounde II council area.
