The Rector urged them to work for the collective interest of the institution.

The University of Yaounde II has welcomed new and vibrant blood following presidential decree of February 3, 2014, appointing senior officials in State universities across the country.

The three officials installed include Prof. Roger Tsafack Nanfosso- Vice Rector in charge of internal control and evaluation, Prof. Andre Emtcheu- Technical Adviser at the Rector’s office, and Prof. Magloire Ondoa- Dean of the faculty of Law and Political Science.

While installing them to their functions, the Rector, Oumarou Bouba enjoined them to work towards a common goal for the development of the institution. He urged the professors to work in conformity with laid down roles and regulations, be proactive, cultivate a spirit of collaboration and total engagement and share information for the wellbeing of the institution. Each of the installed, according to the rector, is a master of his domain, describing them as square pecks in square holes.

Prior to the installation of the University of Yaounde II officials, the Secretary General of the university, Lisette Elomo Ntonga, installed some 34 staff representative of the university elected on January 15, 2014. She enjoined the staff representatives drawn from the faculties of Law and Political Science, Economic Science, ESTIC, IRIC, and IFORD to be a veritable liaison between students and the administration.

The delegates wil see into it that salaries are paid on time, advancements carried out, and workers registered with the social insurance fund. The third installation concerning Presidents of Students Associations of the aforementioned faculties was carried out by the Director of Students Affaires, Gothard Zie Zie.
