The charity, SHUMAS and partners, were hailed for enhancing sustainable development.

CBC Primary School, Kichy, an institution of  the Cameroon Baptist Convention (CBC) in Kumbo, Bui Division, recently jumped for joy with three classrooms constructed  by Strategic Humanitarian Services (SHUMAS) and freely handed to CBC Kichy to enhance the learning and teaching process.

Away from the classrooms, the Director of SHUMAS, Stephen Ndzerem travelled to CBC Kichy with 45 school benches, water cans, buckets, drinking cups, a football and a school band in their show of humanitarian services towards the needy. Song, dance and special prayers for the rare gesture spiced up the event which revealed SHUMAS as a blessing for the realisation of initiatives by rural communities.

The offer to CBC Kichy was the result of international cooperation and partnership. In effect, the international partners of SHUMAS, “Building Schools for Africa” were equally to thank for funding the project that gives CBC Kichy a chance in education without tears. It emerged from the event that SHUMAS is a trusted African NGO with a mission to improve lives, reduce poverty and empower people to meet their needs without compromising posterity from meeting theirs.

SHUMAS empowers the deprived, poor and marginalised through sustainable economic programmes. They complement government’s efforts towards sustainable development. They take credit for interventions in the areas of health, water and sanitation, agriculture and women empowerment, volunteering, education, social welfare, environmental protection and management.
