Fresh Blood to Spur Efficiency in MINFOF

The newly appointed officials were installed on Friday May 16 and charged to innovate for better results.

Newly appointed officials in the central service of the Ministry of Forestry and Wildlife, MINFOF, have officially taken up duties with advice to strive for innovations that can fetch better results. They include Technical Adviser N° 1, Ntsengue Levodo Joseph and Inspector N° 2, Kongape Jean Avit, appointed by a Prime Ministerial decree of May 12, 2014.

Installing the officials on Friday May 16, MINFOF boss, Ngole Philip Ngwese, enjoined them to put their experience and love for country to play so that together with others, growing mountains of efficient and sustainable forest governance could be leveled. The Minister cited among others the promotion of governance, management and regeneration of forest resources, promotion of new wood species and local processing of the product as well as the management and promotion of animal resources as goals that must be jointly pursued.

Assiduity, probity and celerity in the treatment of files, respect of professional secrets and hierarchy and teamwork, he said, were vital ingredients for success. While pledging his total availability to fully collaborate with the newly promoted officials, Minister Ngole Philip Ngwese said all hands must be put on deck so that the flora and fauna sectors could ably contribute their quota to meeting the country’s growth objectives contained in the Growth and Employment Strategy Paper.
