The medals in judo put Cameroon on the 14^th position on the medal tally sheet.

Cameroon has so far won two medals at the ongoing Commonwealth Games in Glasgow-Scotland. The two medals were fetched for Cameroon by Mballa Atangana and Wezeu Dombeu in the judo discipline. Mballa Atangana won bronze while Wezeu Dombeu won silver.

The medals place Cameroon on the 14^th position of the general medal classification chart out of 71 nations and territories taking part in the games. It is worthy to mention that this record is far below the nine medals Cameroon won during the 2002 edition of the games in Manchester.

Meanwhile the medals tally is being lead by Australia who have so far won a total of 73 medals. England is second with a total of 58 medals while host country, Scotland is in the third position with a total of 30 medals. Canada, India, New Zealand, South Africa, Wales, Nigeria and Kenya appear on the top ten seats occupying the 4^th, 5^th, 6^th, 7^th, 8^th, 9^th and 10^th positions respectively.

The first African team on the medal tally is South Africa with a total of 19 medals but occupying the 7^th position generally. Nigeria is second from the African continent and 9^th on the world while Kenya is third on the continent and 10^th worldwide. Cameroon comes in the fourth position on the continent.

Cameroon is taking part in the games in seven sports disciplines namely; athletics, boxing, swimming, judo, weightlifting, wrestling and Paralympics disciplines for handicapped athletes.  In all there are 62 athletes, 12 in athletics, 14 in judo, 14 in wrestling, 2 in boxing,, 15 in weightlifting, 2 in swimming and 3 in power lifting. After initial financial difficulties, the participation bonuses of the athletes have been paid and the athletes are now in a good mental and physical condition to compete.
