Yoosem-Kontou was last Friday received by PM Yang on behalf of the Head of State.

Outgoing Chadian Ambassador to Cameroon, Yoosem-Kontou Noudjiamlao? has told the press that he is a happy man, going back to his country after spending seven years? two months in a country he describes as beautiful. He was speaking on Friday August 8, 2014? after a farewell audience with Prime Minister, Head of Government, Philemon Yang? on behalf of the Head of State, Paul Biya. Yoosem-Kontou Noudjiamlao was Dean of the Diplomatic Corps in Cameroon for well over three years.

Yoosem-Kontou prides himself for having assisted in State visits between Cameroon and his country. President Idriss Deby Itno has been to Cameroon four times during his tenure. He underlined that he is a living testimony of Cameroon's political evolution and the road to being a middle-income economy by 2035 but regretted threats coming Boko Haram insurgency, tarnishing the image of a peaceful country with its loving people. He was however, sure of the dynamism of Cameroonians, saying he was confident that they will surmount the challenges. Cameroon and Chad are not only neighbours but long-time friends and according to Yoosem-Kontou, strategies are being mapped out to counter insecurity.

On bilateral ties between Yaounde and N'Djamena, Yoosem-Kontous said he was proud to speak of it. In recent years both countries have had to share much. Chad transits its petrol through Cameroon; both countries are constructing a link bridge in Kousseri in the Far North, another one in the pipeline from Yagoua still in the same region to Mbongor in Chad, the road between Ngaoundere and Mondou and the railway linking the two countries.
