Ongoing military and security efforts to stem Boko Haram incursions into Cameroon are not just the concern of the authorities.

Cognizant of the fact that the attacks affect everyone, no matter their origin and location, business people have reacted to government’s calls for people to rally behind the military and President Paul Biya to help defeat the militants.

Boko Haram, men of and women of business agree, is not just a threat to Cameroon’s territorial integrity, but to the economy, on which they depend like most other citizens, for their livelihoods. Several of them, sampled from across the country, have expressed hope that the security challenge will soon be overcome.
