The party’s Secretary General, Jean Kuete, urged him to stand solidly by the party for the progress of Bamenda III Subdivision and the nation.

The traditional ruler or Fon of Nkwen, Bamenda in Mezam Division of the North West Region has joined the ranks of the ruling Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement, CPDM party. His Majesty S.F Azefor III publicly acknowledged his decision in Nkwen on Friday, September 19, 2014 in the presence of militants and party officials.

Also around to cheer S.F Azefor III’s position were the Fons of Chomba, Balikumbat, Bambui, Ndzah, Finge, Senator Fon Teche Njei II and the Inspector General in the North West Governor’s office, Ivo Makoge. CPDM Political Bureau member, Regina Mundi, presented a message from the CPDM Central Committee saluting the decision of the Fon to officially and publicly adhere to the CPDM vision and offer land for the construction of a CPDM Secretariat. The message, signed by CPDM Central Committee Secretary General, Jean Kuete, encouraged Fon S.F Azefor III to stand solidly by the party for the progress of Bamenda III Subdivision and the nation.

It was against this backdrop that His Majesty S.F Azefor III saluted President Biya for envisaged development projects for the fondom and prayed the nation to remember sacrifices by John Ngu Foncha for the advancement of Cameroon. He revealed that Senator Fon Teche Njei II was his political mentor and hailed Mezam I CDPM militants for the initiative to visit the palace after his enthronement in November, 2013.
