The president of the Normalisation Committee in a brief ceremony last Friday at the conference of the federation offered a special bonus of 20 million to the female national football selection who won the silver medal at the just ended African women championship in Namibia and qualification for the World Cup in Canada next year.
Professor Owona said the decision to award the special bonus was taken during the Normalisation Committee meeting of October 30 following the brilliant performance of the Lionesses. He urged the Girls to make Cameroon again proud at the World Cup.
He reminded them they will have to meet tough opponents at the world cup like Nigeria, Brazil and other heavyweights in feminine football. The head of the feminine football commission, Celine hailed the chivalry of the girls once more and also received a special bonus of 1.4 million also.
