Anne Nsang Passes On!

The legendary anchor of 'Women and Development' on CRTV in the 90's, died on November 29, 2014.

Cameroonians of a certain generation will certainly know Anne Nkwain Nsang, especially with the coming of the Cameroon Television (CTV) in 1985. The beautiful, talented and prolific veteran journalist is no more. She died on Saturday, November 29, 2014 aboard a flight to the U.S.A. where she had been receiving treatment for lung cancer.

The news landed like a bombshell in Cameroon Tribune’s newsroom on Saturday November 29, 2014. At the Nsang’s family residence in the Santa Barbara neighbourhood on Saturday, the shock was visible on the faces of her family members. Little or no information could be gotten as the pain of the lost wife, mother and sister … was still affecting the hearts of the family members. The last time Cameroonians saw her was a few weeks ago when she was flown home for the funeral of her father, Late Senator Francis Nkwain.

The legendary presenter of “Women and Development” on CRTV in the 90's will forever remain in the hearts of Cameroonians. Anne Nkwain Nsang had a rich career at Cameroon Radio and Television Corporation (CRTV) that she served for almost two decades. She was Deputy Director of CRTV Marketing and Communication Department before moving to the United Nations Information Centre (UNIC) Yaounde in 2010 where she worked as the National Information Officer.

Born in Njinikom, Boyo Division in the North West Region, Anne Nkwain Nsang was also famous on the Sunday weekly programme, “The World This Week”.
