It will be in the second group ‘A’ encounter of the tournament currently taking place in Equatorial Guinea.
The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon will face the Oubangui Wild Cats from the Central African Republic today in Bata in the second group A encounter of the ongoing Cemac cup in Equatorial Guinea. In the first group game on November 30, the host Equatorial Guinea trounced Central Africa 4-0 at the Nkoantoma Stadium in Bata.
It will therefore be fireworks when the Central Africans clash with Cameroon since Central Africa will be out for nothing short of victory as a second defeat for Central Africa in a row in the tournament would mean their premature ousting from the competition. Meanwhile three times winner, Cameroon would be out to reclaim the trophy that eluded them during the last edition of the tournament.
Meanwhile the defending champion, Gabon was humbled by Congo Republic on the 1st of December 2-1 at the new stadium in Malabo. The matches of this Ninth edition of the CEMAC Cup will take place in the stadiums of Bata and Malabo until December 13.
The Cemac Cup formerly known as UDEAC cup is a non-commercialised football tournament that includes only local league players from the Republic of Congo, Chad, Equatorial Guinea, Cameroon, Gabon and the Central African Republic. As the local leagues in these six countries are amateur leagues, it is a non-professional competition. The tournament is organised by the Central African Football Federations' Union.
