Though a midfielder, Yassine Chikhaoui can also play on the attack line or the wings and has a rare flare for goals. Yassine Chikhaoui’s career started with Tunisian club, ES Sahel where he became the youngest team captain in the history of the club at the age of 19.

He also won the CAF Champions league and participated at the FIFA’s club World Cup before joining FC Zürich on a 5-year contract on 23 May 2007. During the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations, it was reported that many big clubs had scouts present to watch Chikhaoui like Manchester United, Bayern Munchen and Juventus.
