Governor, Senator Achidi Achu, Fru  Ndi, Fons, civil society  were on  the streets of Bamenda on February 7, 2015.

The massive and impressive demonstration against terrorism best sums up the solidarity walk and prayers in Bamenda on February 7, 2015 when the population filed out with strong messages against insurgency, terrorism, violence against humanity and all activities of Boko Haram. It was a moment for metropolitan Bamenda and neighbourhoods of the North West Region to state their commitment in standing by the nation’s Armed Forces fighting Boko Haram.

The message was straight and clear as the Government Delegate to the Bamenda City Council, Ndumu Nji Vincent charged the governor to tell the Commander-In-Chief of Cameroon’s Armed Forces and Head of State, Paul Biya, that the population of Bamenda is in solidarity with Cameroonians and Armed forces fighting insurgency.

Inter-religious prayers featuring Baptists, Presbyterians and Muslims cheered and saluted Cameroon’s brave and courageous soldiers involved in the war. Impressed by the event which showcased song, dance and special messages of encouragement for the military, North West Governor, Adolf Lele Lafrique said the region could not have been indifferent to the Head of State’s recent call to rally behind Cameroon’s Armed Forces battling terrorism.

Vigilance and continued prayers for divine intervention were take home messages for the awe-inspiring population, among whom featured  Arts and Culture Minister, Ama Tutu Muna, Senator Achidi Achu, Ni John Fru Ndi, Professor Tafah Edward, El Hadj Lawan Bako, Regina Mundi, Fru Jonathan, MPs, Mayors, Fons etc . They walked to the ceremonial ground from the major junctions of the city.
