Moukoko Mbonjo Recommends Assiduity

He was speaking on Monday 9 February, 2015 while receiving New Year wishes from the staff of his Ministry.

The Minister of External Relations, Professor Pierre Moukoko Mbonjo, has urged staff of his ministry to be assiduous, dedicated and discrete in the exercise of their duties. He was addressing staff members while receiving best wishes of good health and success for 2015, Monday, 9 February, 2015 in an occasion that also saw the decoration of some staff of the ministry with the National Order of Valour, National Order of Merit and labour medals of May 20, 2014 for meritorious services.

The External Relations Minister equally reminded his collaborators of the role of a diplomat and enjoined the entire staff to bring out their maximum output in order to give the Head of State the best of themselves especially during this crucial moment when Cameroon is at war against the nebulous Boko Haram terrorist group. While paying homage to fallen soldiers and civilians who have lost their lives in the Far North Region, the Minister, flanked by the two Minister Delegates, Chief Dr. Dion Ngute Joseph in charge of the Commonwealth and Adoum Gargoum, in charge of Relations with the Islamic World, told his staff that every one of them as a diplomat is part of the process.

Earlier, the Secretary General in the Ministry of External Relations, Felix Mbayu, advised the staff to avoid acts that will give Cameroon’s diplomacy a negative image and recommended hope and serenity as they carry on with their duties. Highlights of the ceremony included handshakes with the Minister and the Minister Delegates and presentation of gifts to some retiring staff.
