Bui Women, PAMOL Support Military, Refugees

More financial and cash support continues to come in to boost war efforts in the Far North Region and also cater for refugees.

Kumbo Women Donate 50 Sacks Of Maize

Eight women’s networks in Kumbo Central Sub-division of Bui Division in the North West Region, have donated 50 sacks of maize to feed the soldiers fighting Boko Haram in the Far North Region as well as refugees now counting in hundreds of thousands. 

 Receiving the package on the sidelines of the recent 30th Women’s Day celebrations, the Senior Divisional Officer for Bui, Nzeki Theophile, congratulated the Kumbo Women’s Network, represented by its President, Tata Relindis Kila, for contributing to support the dedicated soldiers and affected war victims.

PAMOL Donates 2 Tonnes Of Palm Oil 

The Interim General Manager of PAMOL Plantation Plc and the entire staff have donated 2,000 litres of palm oil and the sum of FCFA 1.5 million to the Defence Forces in the Far North Region to support them in the fight against the terrorist group, Boko Haram.

The donation was handed to the Commander of the Second Combined Military Region, Major General Sali Mohamadou, during the installation of the Commander of the 22nd Marine Battalion in Mundemba, on March 24, 2015. While handing the oil, Chief Mekanya Okon Charles, extended appreciation and support to the Head of State, President Paul Biya, and the Defence Forces for the war they are waging against Boko Haram in the Far North Region.
