Marc Vivien Foe Award: Njie Clinton, Moukandjo Among Nominees

Two Cameroonians feature among the ten nominees for the Marc Vivien Foe award this year.

The award usually attributed to the best African players in the French League One championship was instituted by RFI and France 24 in honour of the fallen Indomitable Lion in 2003. Clinton and Moukandjo will be competing for the award alongside the Ayew brothers of Ghana, Jordan and Andre, last year’s winner victor Enyema and Ivorian striker Marx Gradel.

The result will be rendered public on May 18. Since the inception of the award, no Cameroonian player has ever won it. Benjamin Moukandjo has so far scored seven goals this season and has been designated twice as the best player of Stade of Reims. Njie Clinton on his part is having a promising start of his professional career with Lyon with whom he has so far scored four goals this season.
