Police Commissioner, Oyono née Thom Cecile took service during a technical handing over ceremony yesterday in Yaounde.
The International School of Security Forces known in its French acronym as EIFORCES, has a new Deputy Director General. Police Commissioner Oyono née Thom Cecile took over the management of the “Excellent training school” yesterday April 22, 2015, in Yaounde, during a ceremony chaired by the Delegate General for National Security, Martin Mbarga Nguele.
The Police boss in a press interview that followed the handing over ritual stressed the importance of EIFORCES in the maintenance of peace and security not only in Cameroon but in Africa and the world at large. Thus, he challenged the new Deputy Director General to keep the spirit of excellence alive in the training of security personnel for the maintenance of peace and security in Cameroon and beyond.
Police Commissioner Oyono née Thom Cecile, who replaces Police Commissioner Doum Ndongo Patrice, expressed profound gratitude to the authorities and all those who contributed in the creation of the school that so far has stood tall in the training, retraining and perfection of skills of peace maintenance operators. She also rejoiced that a woman has been recognised to carry out the task.
EIFORCES was created in 2008 by a Presidential Decree with the mission to train, recycle Police and Gendarmerie officers as well as civilians in peace maintenance operations. The International School of Security Forces trains security elements from Cameroon and Africa, funded by the Cameroon government and her partners.
