Some 76,388 Anglophone pupils in the country are now awaiting the results of the 2015 Government Common Entrance examination into Form One of Grammar Colleges and the first year of technical education. The examination held on Friday, May 15, 2015.

In Yaounde, the Secretary of State to the Minister of Basic Education, Benoit Ndong Soumhet, visited some examination centres to see for himself how things were going on. He was also in Mfou in the Mefou and Afamba Division of the Centre Region for the same purpose. The centres visited were Government Bilingual Primary School, Mballa IV in Mfou, the Government Central Bilingual Primary School, Down Town Yaounde, Government Schools Nkolbisson, Biyem-Assi and Ekounou; all in Yaounde.

At each stopover, the Secretary of State took some time off to find out from the officials if they had any challenges. According to him, the examination went on

well. “Our visit to five centres showed that all went on well, except for a few cases of late-coming and absences,” Benoit Ndong Soumhet explained.
