ENAM Partners With Foreign Universities

Over 50 students who undertook academic internship in some USA universities received attestations last weekend in Yaounde.

Partnership between the National School of Administration and Magistracy, ENAM, and some universities in the United States of America (USA) is already yielding fruits. Last Thursday, May 28, 2015 at the premises of ENAM, some 50 students of the institution who undertook an academic tour to the Saint Joseph’s University (SJU) and the George Mason University (GMU) all in the USA received diplomas of Continuing Professional Education Awards.

The Representative of the USA Ambassador to Cameroon noted that they are engaged to ensure ENAM’s commitment to reinforce academic excellence which will help to satisfy the needs of Cameroon public service. The event was also an occasion to celebrate cooperation between ENAM and foreign universities in response to globalisation.

From 12 to 26 of July 2014, some 23 ENAM students undertook a study tour to SJU in the USA. According to one of them, Isidore Ndofi Ngangeh, their training programme focused on international and pharmaceutical marketing. Isidore Ndofi said they gained knowledge on how to transfer some technological know-how in the agricultural domain, telemedicine amongst others.

The over 20 students who undertook a study tour at the GMU from May 3-17 this year where able to visit USA Congress House, Capitol during which they realized that the parliamentary administration in the USA is open to young people unlike in Cameroon where the National Assembly or Senate is almost a close zone especially to young people. One of the interns, Berthe Stéphanie Ngo Tchade said with knowledge gained during her tour, she will use it to ensure that Cameroon’s parliamentary section is open to people of all walks of life.

The Director General of ENAM, Linus Mendjana Toussaint said with commitment from their US partners amongst which the US-Cameroon Chambers of Commerce, there is every reason to consolidate and diversify the partnership for students to benefit more.
