The 3rd Edition of Vocational Training pedagogic day held in Yaounde on September 7, 2015.
The objective of the 3rd edition of vocational training pedagogic day which was organised in the conference room of the Ministry of Employment and Vocational Training on September 7, 2015 was on four employment sectors which are: Production of graphic designs, Hotel management and catering, Driving school instructors and Mineral prospection.
With respect to this year’s theme which is “ Validation of Pedagogic tools developed in collaboration with partners of the socio-economic and professional sectors on the following trades: Production of graphic designs, Hotel Management and catering, Driving School instructors, Mining Prospectors”, the Inspector General of Training, François Akono Tabi said services offered in restaurants and driving schools are not sufficient for the development of the country.
Thus, he called on participants from the 10 regions of the country to implement the follow-up pedagogic tools in their sectors. He added that they intended to innovate the four sectors mentioned above because they are essential to the country. “Those in charge of the four different sectors will be well trained so that they can coach their apprentices well”, he said.
Minister Zacharie Perevet who called on professionals and trainers to give in their supports and collaborations held that through the competent approach, the follow-up pedagogic tools will not only permit harmonisation of training contents on the national territory, but will also guarantee effective professional training oriented towards fruitful results which is the reduction of unemployment. “This approach will permit better adaptation of trainers to the economic activities of our country”, he said.
