“The Doing Business Report is a mirror of a situation at a specific moment, based on logic and factual criteria such as access to electricity for business persons, which its provision to Small and Medium-size Entreprises remains a miracle. Electricity supply has been inconsistent and this might explain why recently, the Head of State, President Paul Biya took the decision creating an agency for the distribution of energy, SONATRAL. The report certainly took into consideration hitches like access to administration, which is still not so satisfactory as well as taxes and fiscal problems faced by business persons. Although government has developed an ecosystem by setting up the Entreprise Creation Centre, CFE, and the one-stop-shop, GUCE, to facilitate business, much still needs to be done in areas like the execution of the contracts where corruption is at its peak. Proposals from the Cameroon Business Forum should be backed by legal frameworks like decrees. The follow-up of recommendations should be stricter. The forum is seemingly administrative with recommendations hard to implement. The most important thing is to have a stricter follower-up of Cameroon Business Forum recommendation"
