But from his birth place in Boyo Division, North West Region, he is an illustrious son and a blessing that moves and shakes the nation with a fortune at the service of nation building. Associated with massive wealth; El Hadj Ahmadou Baba Danpullo is  a self made man from the most humble of  beginnings to unarguably one of the richest men in sub Sahara Africa but whose fortune has not bloated his head.

He remains down to earth, soft spoken, very true to his Muslim faith and exaggeratedly generous to his Kith and Kin. He has been funding local water projects, electricity and other humanitarian and development projects in the North West Region.

From the corridors, we have it that the build up to his wealth is easily traced to  his accumulated experience as the promoter or assembler of the hitherto; Daewo Television in Cameroon, Promoter of the then, ‘Unit Air’ in the air transport sector, petroleum transporter and his involvement in  import/import business activities.

Today; El Hadj Baba Danpullo is seen to rise to expectation with four tea plantations in Ndu, Tole, Djuttitsa and Ndawara. His fortune also features ranches in Ndawara, Esu, and Sangwa-aa- all in the North West Region. He is also into the communications sector where he serves as the Board Chairman of the mobile telephone phone, Nexttel Cameroun, with 49 per cent share.
