Christians of the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon, PCC, Bastos congregation in Yaounde on Sunday, November 14, 2015, celebrated the 58^th anniversary of the Presbyterian Church Day and the 30^th anniversary of the congregation. In his sermon, the Parish Pastor, Rev. Emmanuel B. Masok, likened the autonomy of the PCC from the Basel Mission to the parable of the mustard seed in the Bible. Drawing from Mark Chapter 4:30-32, Rev. Masok said the kingdom of God is like mustard that grows from obscurity to a big tree. In his message, the Moderator of the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon, Rev. Fonki Samuel Forba, called on Presbyterian Christians to be transformed transformers. Other activities of the day included the cutting of the anniversary cake, Sunday School and Young Presbyterians presentations and award of prizes. A special week of intercessory prayers for the nation was announced from November 16-22, 2015.

Protestant University

New Academic Year Kicks Off

The auditorium of Immanuel David of the Protestant University of Central Africa in Djoungolo, Yaounde, was the venue of the matriculation ceremony for the 2015-2015 academic year on November 13, 2015. Speaking at the occasion, the Director in charge of Development in the Ministry of Higher Education, Prof. Richard Laurent Omgwa, on behalf of the Minister of Higher Education, congratulated the officials for the work that is being done in the institution. For the 2015-2016 academic year, the institution has four faculties with 757 students. The Faculty of Protestant Theology and Religious Sciences has 174 students, Faculty of Social Sciences and International Relations, 307, Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, 210 and the Faculty of Health Sciences, 66 students. The Protestant University of Central Africa Yaounde is the product of 14 churches in West Africa, Central Africa and Southern Africa.
