Police in France are searching for Guillaume Soro, the President of the National Assembly of Côte d’Ivoire with a warrant of arrest issued by Sabine Khéris, a judge in a Paris Court.
Libération newspaper reports that the warrant of arrest was issued last week and the Police this Monday, December 7, 2015 went to the Paris residence of Guillaume Soro to execute the court orders. The newspaper reports that former President Laurent Gbagbo’s son, Michel Gbagbo filed a complaint against Guillaume Soro in the French court in June 2012.
As the then rebel leader, Soro was accused of harassing, locking up and giving inhumane treatment to opponents in what has come to be known as the “Comzones” saga during the 2011-election crisis. The French court judged the complaint admissible.
