Board members of the International School for Security Forces yesterday met in Yaounde under the chairmanship of Joseph Beti Assomo.

Board members of the International School for Security Forces (known by its French acronym as EIFORCES) were in conclave yesterday December 10, 2015 in Yaounde to take stock of the institution’s activities and performance for 2014 and part of 2015. The Board of Directors meeting chaired by the Board Chairman, Joseph Beti Assomo who is also the Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Defense (MINDEF), focused principally on the examination and adoption of the December 2014 budgetary session deliberations as well as the balance sheet of the 2014 fiscal year.

The Board meeting that held behind closed-doors was also intended to examine and adopt the performance report of the school for 2014 till end of February 2015 as well as the administrative and management accounts of 2014. Though no information filtered from the in-camera deliberations at the Yaounde Hilton Hotel, Cameroon Tribune gathered that the Deputy Director General of EIFORCES, Senior Superintendent of Police Cecile Oyono, also presented the first quarter report of the 2015 financial year and the performance report of same period.

The Board also examined and adopted the resolution for the augmentation of EIFORCES budget. Other issues that came under scrutiny during yesterday’s Board meeting were the examination of files for the recruitment of personnel and the presentation of insignias to EIFORCES Board members. The International School for Security Forces with its campuses in Ngousso and Awae offers courses for in-service security officers on peace keeping operations and maintenance of law and order.
