A meeting of officials of the Ministry of Secondary Education took place e in Yaoundé on January 25.
Officials of the central and devolved services of the Ministry of Secondary Education held a one-day meeting in Yaounde yesterday, January 25, 2016 to evaluate midterm activities of the 2015-2016 academic year.
Speaking at the opening, the Minister of Secondary Education, Jean Ernest Masséna Ngalle Bibehe, called for a critical evaluation of the sub sector of secondary education, by examining aspects such as the quality of teaching and the missions of the Ministry of Secondary Education or the organisation and functioning of structures of the education system in general. He called on participants to follow the different presentations during the workshop attentively and make concrete proposals in order to come out with the best results at the end of the workshop.
The meeting is in line with the supervisory activities of the Ministry of Secondary Education. The objective is to enable participants to evaluate midterm activities of the ministry and look for strategies to meet set objectives. Participants listened to presentations from officials in charge of examinations such as improvement on the rate of success in official examinations, midterm report on the coverage of syllabuses and pedagogic organisation balance sheet and perspectives, among others.
