The CPDM Sub-section held its first joint conference on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at the Chief’s Palace.

Members of the various wings of the Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement, CPDM, Sub-Section in the Labba-Meba locality near Messamena, Upper Nyong Division of the East Region, have beckoned their National Chairman, Paul Biya, to let go all possible hesitation and organise an early presidential election since 2018 will be a saturated year.

In a motion of support read at the end of the first joint conference of the WCPDM, YCPDM and CPDM of the Sub-Section that held in the courtyard of the Chief’s Palace in Labba-Meba on February 20, 2016, the members said an early presidential election will give Paul Biya an opportunity to complete vast projects undertaken to give Cameroon’s socio-economic development a great leap forward towards his vision to make the country an emerging economy by 2035.

“For us, he is the man of the situation, who bears our hopes and who reassures, given the complexity of current national and international stakes,” emphasised the President-elect of the Labba-Meba Sub-Section and traditional ruler of Labba-Meba, His Majesty Tsek Serge Dieudonné earlier on in his policy speech. The joint conference that had as theme: “The CPDM, Privileged Stakeholder in the Emergence of Cameroon,” was attended by over 500 participants, comprising members of the Sub-Section, elite, guests, traditional authorities as well as Comrade Louis Marie Nkoum-Me-Ntseny, who was the Personal Representative of the President of the CPDM’s Permanent Delegation for the East Region, Janvier Mongui Sossomba.

Besides a 10-point plan of action which stressed the recruitment and training of more militants, Tsek Serge Dieudonné announced 10 scholarships for youths to study at the African Computer Institute (IAI-Cameroon) in Yaounde as well as an upcoming reward ceremony for successful candidates of the 2015 Baccalaureat session.
