Development Projects: Cameroon-Saudi Arabia To Sign MOU Soon

The Saudi Arabian Ambassador yesterday held talks with Adoum Gargoum in Yaounde.

Cameroon and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will soon enter into a Memorandum of Understanding for the financing of the construction of a professional technical high school in Akwa, Douala and the construction of the Olama-Kribi road.

The Saudi Arabian Ambassador to Cameroon, His Excellency Mohammed Bin Suleiman Almussher, made the revelation yesterday March 15, 2016 in Yaounde after holding discussions with the Minister Delegate in the Ministry of External Relations in charge with Relations with the Islamic World, Adoum Gargoum. According to the Saudi Arabian diplomat, a delegation from Saudi Arabia will be in Cameroon in a couple of days to sign the two accords.

The agreement for the construction of the technical high school is worth 10 million dollars (approximately FCFA 5,900,7510)  while the Olama-Kribi road will cost between 15-18 million dollars (approximately over FCFA 8 billion), the Ambassador said.

Both officials also reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries which Ambassador Mohammed Bin said are excellent, with preparations gearing up for the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of cooperation ties between Cameroon and Saudi Arabia this year.  The edifice to host the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Cameroon, he stated, is near completion. The architectural design, he added, will help embellish the capital city upon completed.
