Israeli Ambassador Bids Farewell

He was at State House last Saturday to formally announce the end of his stay of duty

Sitting in for the President of the Republic, the Minister-Secretary General at the Presidency of the Republic last Saturday morning received in audience the Israel Ambassador to Cameroon Nadav Cohen who has come to the end of his stay of duty in Cameroon. The Israeli diplomatic arrived at the General Secretariat building at 10 AM and was immediately led to the second floor office of the Minister-Secretary General where the two went into private talks that lasted about 60 minutes.

Ambassador Cohen told State House reporters that he had come to formally announce his departure from Cameroon and thought it wise to come and express his thanks to the President for all that his did to ensure that his mission in Cameroon was well carried out. He said he also came to update the President on what the embassy does in Cameroon, describing cooperation areas as very varied. He said the vitality of Israeli cooperation was best illustrated with media reports on their activities. He specified that the major areas of concern were in health and humanitarian actions.

On a more personal note, he said he found the people of Cameroon to be very friendly and that he was going to miss many new friends he made here in Cameroon during his nearly 30-month’s stay. Ambassador Nadav Cohen presented letters accrediting him to Cameroon on January, 7 2014 to President Paul Biya.
