USA:Donald Trump Faces Disturbing Coalition

Ted Cruz and John Kasich all candidates in the Republican presidential nomination race  have announced their coalition against  the leading candidate Trump.

Donald Trump, the leading candidate in the Republican party nomination race for the November 8, 2016 presidential election in the United States of America, has tough times in the remaining States where primaries are still to be conducted and in finally emerging the party’s candidate for the election.

Ted Cruz will cut campaigning in the Oregon and New Mexico primaries to help John Kasich, while the latter will give Ted Cruz a clear path in Indiana, BBC reported, stating that Donald Trump’s rivals announced their move in a near-simultaneous statement. Reports say Mr Trump currently has 845 delegates, Mr Cruz 559 and Mr Kasich 148. The coalition is a bad omen for Donald Trump as he may not likely reach the target. He has a clear lead in delegates but may still fall short of the 1,237 needed to win outright. Should this happen,  the vote will go to a contested Republican party convention, where a different nominee may emerge through negotiations among party figures.

"Having Donald Trump at the top of the ticket in November would be a sure disaster for Republicans. Not only would Trump get blown out by [Hillary] Clinton or [Bernie] Sanders, but having him as our nominee would set the party back a generation," BBC quoted Mr Cruz’s campaign manager, Jeff Roe as saying. John Weaver, Mr Kasich’s strategist on his part, is quoted as having explained that, "Our goal is to have an open convention in Cleveland, where we are confident a candidate capable of uniting the party and winning in November will emerge as the nominee." Responding to the news of the coalition, Donald Trump described his rivals as “totally desperate.” He is further quoted as saying that it was,  “sad that two grown politicians  have to collude.”

The two rivals for the Democratic party nomination, Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders are multiplying winning strategies to win delegates in the north-eastern States.
