The event took place during the Douala Association of the Council of Churches Annual Bible Conference.

Just as Paul charged young Timothy to preach, pursue and practise the word of God, Rev. Dr Ndeley Samuel, Director of Theological and Christian Education with the Cameroon Baptist Convention, CBC, has urged Rev. Isaac Kachebri to do same to God’s flock under his care in Faith Baptist Church, Souza in Moungo Division of the Littoral region.

Ordained during the annual Bible Conference of the Douala Association of the Council of Churches, DACC, which held in Trinity Baptist Church, Mboppi, Douala, on June 5, 2016, Isaac Kachebri was advised never to depart from the Bible nor drift from the word of God and follow fables. He was empowered to henceforth carry out church ordinances like baptism, administering the Lord’s Supper, officiating at burial services and joining couples in holy matrimony, among others.

Rev Samuel Nchambeli of Trinity Baptist Church Mboppi said the theme of the Bible Conference was “Living Free,” adding that it had to do with trusting Jesus who is Lord over the nation. Drawing inspiration from Psalms 127, which says if the Lord does not watch over a nation, those who watch do so in vain, he said living free does not only refer to liberty, but liberty restricted under the leadership of God.
