The new management of the Yaounde Sports Complex organised a press diner to present the facilities and services offered by the structure.
In order to render the Yaounde sports complex, Paposy, productive, the new management organised a press diner on Thursday June 23rd to present the facilities and services offered by the structure. Presenting the structure, the director of Paposy, Bea Hopp Fridolin said the Yaounde sports complex is a reference in sub Saharan Africa and can host both sports and cultural events.
In addition the edifice also offers possibilities for advertisement with their electronic boards in and out of the structure as well as the walls that can be used to place posters. Paposy he said has halls that can be used for conferences, marriages, concerts and the esplanade of the complex with a capacity of 10.000 seats can be used to organise trade fairs.
The main hall has a capacity of 5400 seats which can be extended to 6.000 seats. There is also a VIP hall with a capacity of 250 seats, a balcony with a capacity of 700 seats. There is also a warm up room, a sauna and a fitness centre with qualified instructors from the Higher Institute of Youth and Sports. The structure is now managed by a team of dedicated workers with new dynamism ushered by the appointment of Bea Hopp as director in February 2016.
The director of the complex said prices have been reviewed lower in order to make the structure accessible to all. The management of the structure offer hostesses and security guards to event organisers.
