Yaounde: Suspected Bandits Arrested

Onana Missomo Michel Rodrigue, 34, and Mani Ekani Philippe Alias Man, were apprehended by the police on July 2, 2016 in Yaounde.

Two suspected bandits, Onana ona Missomo Michel Rodrigue, 34, and Mani Ekani Philippe Alias Man, 39, are presently in police custody at the Centre Regional Delegation for Judicial Police in Yaounde. Reports say, Owona Missomo Michel, Mani Ekani Alias Man and two others broke into the office of a financial house Express Union situated at the Onbolbingana junction in Obala on April 23, 2016 at 11:00 a.m.

The bandits are alleged to have threatened the users and the staff of Express Union with arms and made away with FCFA 750, 000, laptops, mobile phones and jewelries. The suspected bandits were arrested by the elements of the Centre Regional Delegation for Judicial Police on July 2, 2016 in the Ahala neighbourhood at 3:00 a.m.  after thorough police investigations . The bandits have since been interrogated by the police.

Following a search carried out by the police in the home of Onana Missomo Rodrique, the police was able to discovered two automatic pistols, bullets and a locally made pistol. It should be recalled that Onana Missomo Michel Rodrique and Mani Ekani Philippe are ex-convicts. The bandits will be taken to the military court while police investigations are going to find the other two culprits who are allegedly on the run.
