Americans are ready to ensure the success of the policies of the next President who will take over from outgoing President Barack Obama.
There is hustling and bustling within the rival major Democratic and Republican political parties in the United States of America as their nomination conventions will hold in the coming days to select their candidates for the November 8, 2016 presidential election.
There will certainly be change of the US leader after the election as outgoing President Barack Obama is gradually going to the end of his second and last term of office and he would have be replaced. Americans in Cameroon as those back home and elsewhere in the world are anxiously looking forward to the election. US Ambassador to Cameroon, Michael Stephen Hoza said immediately the new President will be sworn in, Americans will immediately go to work to ensure that his or her policies are faithfully executed in a manner consistent with the country’s laws and regulations.
Change at the White House will not certainly affect US policies as the Ambassador said their focus will not be on position and power but on partnerships and their potential to promote stability and better lives for all. Cameroon is also looking forward to continuing its ever-growing bilateral cooperation with the United States of America.
The cooperation covers domains such as security, health, education, cultural exchanges, training and technology. Besides holding talks at the top level of the State, the US Ambassador and officials have also been combing all the nooks and crannies of Cameroon to assess cooperation projects and identify other key areas where urgent intervention is required.
