Newly appointed workers of the institution were commissioned yesterday, August 3, 2016 in Yaounde.
Newly appointed staff of the Chantal Biya International Reference Centre for Research on HIV/AIDS Prevention and Management, CIRCB, have been urged to effectively work towards accomplishing the mission of the structure which is that of HIV prevention and research as well as research on improving the livelihoods of people living with HIV/AIDS.
The call was made by the Director of CIRCB, Professor Alexis Ndjolo, yesterday, August 3, 2016 as he commissioned workers following Resolutions Number One, Two, Three, Four, Five and Six of the 8th ordinary session of the Management Committee of CIRCB, that held on July 28, 2016, appointing staff into different functions within the structure by the President of the Management Committee, Jean Stephane Biatcha.
During the ceremony, Prof Alexis Ndjolo, also commissioned different chiefs of bureau he appointed following Decision No 1310/016 of August 1, 2016. The Director General of CIRCB said the appointment was to ratify the post of certain collaborators of the director of the institution who until yesterday were still head of services. Through the appointment, some personnel of CIRCB were promoted to the rank of directors.
The appointment also gave room for personnel to be assigned to laboratories that existed but not managed by any person. Such was the case with the Laboratory Bio-Banque and Vaccinologies. The Director of CIRCB also noted that the nomination has also permitted the structure to put in place the means through which workers can receive advantages for the work they carry out.
While congratulating the newly appointed staff, Prof. Alexis Ndjolo urged them to be assiduous, punctual, respect hierarchy, show integrity and frankly collaborate in accomplishing the mission of CIRCB.
